The Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) is not a traditional indexing system for journalsERA is an initiative and national research evaluation framework developed by the Australian Government to assess the quality of research conducted by Australian universities and other research institutions. Apart from Scopus and WoS, ERA was also included in the publication criteria assessed in MALAYSIA RESEARCH ASSESSMENT INSTRUMENT II (MyRA® II).

ERA 2018 JOURNAL LIST 

ERA 2018 refers to the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) evaluation that took place in 2018. The ERA 2018 Journal List was developed for the sole purpose of supporting the ERA 2018 evaluation. This list defines the journals that are eligible for institutions’ ERA 2018 submissions – that is, scholarly, peer reviewed journals that publish original research and were active during the ERA 2018 reference period for research outputs (1 January 2011 – 31 December 2016).There are 25,017 journals included in the ERA 2018 list. For each journal, the list includes  ERA ID (unique to each Journal), Journal title, Foreign title (where relevant), Up to three Field of Research (FoR) codes or ‘MD’ for multidisciplinary journals, and ISSN(s).

ERA 2023 SUBMISSION JOURNAL LIST

The ERA 2023 Submission Journal List was developed for the sole purpose of supporting the ERA 2023 evaluation. It was released to eligible Australian universities in July 2022 to support their submission process. This list defines the journals that are eligible for institutions’ ERA 2023 submissions – that is, scholarly, peer reviewed journals that publish original research and were active during the ERA 2023 reference period for research outputs (1 January 2016 – 31 December 2021).
