2022 Research Achievements

I-CATS UC WON THE SPECIAL JURY AWARD AND GOLD MEDAL IN THE BORNEO INNOVATION FESTIVAL 2022

i-CATS UC won Gold and Special Jury Award in the Borneo Innovation Festival 2022.

A research consortium led by Prof. Dr. Shahren Ahmad Zaidi Adruce won the most prestigous award in the Borneo Innovation Festival 2022 (BIF22), the Special Jury Award (Anugerah Khas Juri) for their innovation project – ” Organizational Excellence Index : Facilitating Organizational Learning through Organizational Culture Audit”. This project also won GOLD for the Teaching & Learning category. The award ceremony was held on 12th October 2022 at Politeknik METrO Betong Sarawak.

Researchers of i-CATS UC involved in this project included Prof. Dr. Hasbee Hj Usop, Prof. Dr. Philip Nuli Anding, Dr. Donald Stephen, and Ms Nur Adila Latif. This project was a collaborative project with researchers from UNIMAS.

External Grant Received
Congratulations to a team from the Faculty of Multidisciplinary and Sustainability Studies (FMSS) and The Faculty of Economic, Business & Accounting (FEBA) for securing an external research grant – the 2022 Digital Society Research Grant amounting to RM10,000 funded by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). The Project, entitled “Factors promoting and hindering the implementation of PUDO services related to courier services deployed at PEDi centres in Sarawak” is led by Prof Dr. Shahren Ahmad Zaidi Adruce as the Principal Investigator.

Consultancy Project Received!

Let us congratulate our DVC (Research & Graduate Studies), Prof. Dato’ Dr. Shazali Abu Mansor for being appointed as the Senior Economist for the Kajian Pelan Pembangunan Rangkaian Jalan Raya 2040 (HNDP 2040) from the Highway Planning Department, Ministry of Works, managed by Perunding Atur Trafik Sdn. Bhd. This appointment is effective immediately.
